diplomaStudents seeking to complete their high school credentials must set up an appointment at the Adult Education office to register for classes. We will help you design a program to complete graduation requirements. Diploma classes are available during the daytime and evening. Credits from other schools or sources will be reviewed for acceptance. Credit may be awarded for military experience, job training, homemaking, and volunteer experience. Upon graduation you will receive a Presque Isle High School diploma.

General Education Development - GED

studentsThe high school equivalency tests may be taken at the Adult Education office by appointment. The GED exam is comprised of five tests in the areas of Writing Skills, Social Studies, Science, Literature and the Arts, and Mathematics. A State of Maine High School Equivalency Diploma will be awared upon successful completion of the exam. Students must meet with the Chief Examiner before beginning the test series and must take a required pre-test. The GED exam, pre-test, and preparation classes are free of charge to Maine residents. MSAD#1 policy is that a student must be eighteen years old and his/her class must have graduated before the student is eligible to take the GED. Reasonable accommodations are available to persons with documented disabilities.
