Personal Enrichment classes with less than seven (7) students may be cancelled. Eligibility: Anyone who is seventeen (17) years old and is no longer enrolled in day school may register for adult education classes. In Person: Walk-in registration will be accepted beginning August 10, 2009 for the fall semester and January 4, 2010 for the winter/spring semester. Registrations are accepted at both office locations. Confirming Mail-in Registrations: We do not send out or call with confirmations.
Consider yourself enrolled in the course(s) of your choice when you send in a
completed
registration form and payment. We will notify you if a class has already been filled,
cancelled, or if dates have been changed. You will not receive a receipt unless requested. Fees MSAD#1 Adult Education offers a variety of programs supported by federal, state and local taxes. Your fees pay the cost not covered by tax dollars. Some programs are not state or locally funded and therefore require a higher fee and a minimum enrollment. The registration fee doesn't cover the cost of books and materials. If the course is a required diploma course, there is no charge for workbooks, and texts must be returned. If diploma students are taking an elective class, they will be required to pay for workbooks and will have the option to purchase or return textbooks. All students are expected to pay the lab fees for consumable materials used. Fees for all courses are indicated in the course schedules and are due at the time of registration. Residents are those persons living in Castle Hill, Chapman, Mapleton, Presque Isle, and Westfield. Residents from other communities are always welcomed in our program. There is an additional fee of $7.50 per class for non-residents. Senior Citizens: Adult learners, sixty (60) years and over, may attend classes at a reduced registration fee of $10.00 per class. Seniors who are not residents of M.S.A.D. #1 will be assessed a non-resident fee of $7.50 per class. All senior citizens are expected to pay lab fees, if applicable. The following programs are free of charge: Payment of registration fees, materials, and books may be paid in cash or personal check made out to MSAD#1 Adult Education. Refunds:
