The MSAD#1 School Farm is located on the corner of Academy and Fleetwood Streets in Presque Isle. Students of the MSAD#1 AgriScience classes apply concepts learned in the classroom with hands-on learning at the facility. The 38-acre farm produces fruits and vegetables that are sold at the School Farm Store and in local grocery stores. Produce from the farm is also provided to area soup kitchens and the school lunch program. The newest addition to the farm site is the MSAD #1 Apple Cider Education and Processing Facility, the only operation combining education and production in Maine. Our ten-acre apple orchard provides not only fresh fruit for the table market but value-added fruit products including pies and apple cider. By touring this facility, Aroostook County students of all ages, community residents and businesses are provided an opportunity to view the process that creates America's most traditional and healthy fruit drink.
