The children went on a field trip to Putnam's
Farm. The hour-long trip consisted of a horse-drawn wagon ride to the pumpkin field, where
the children searched for the perfect pumpkin to bring home. |

successful searches! Back in the classroom, children took part in a variety of
pumpkin-related activities such as pumpkin painting and pumpkin carving. |

Chalk designs on the sidewalk is creative fun
for all, and is an example of the many outdoor learning activities that children take part
in. |
| Watching a little crab crawl across the
carpet, children learn more about tiny sea creatures. They also had the opportunity to
hold starfish, sea cucumbers and sea urchins. The touch tank was part of an MPO-sponsored
presentation from Mr. Averill's Ocean Adventure Program. |
