Applications should be printed or typed, preferably typed.  If they are printed, please print legibly in ink. Read the application form thoroughly and answer all questions.  All items must be filled in.  If a question does not apply to you, please fill in n/a for non-applicable.

It is recommended that you type the required essay information into a Word document – spell check and grammar check it – save it and then you will be able to copy and paste into the scholarship applications.

Consult specific scholarship requirements for the number of required recommendations.  Please provide teachers at least a week to write you a recommendation.  If a photograph is requested, remember to include it.

**Applications must be turned in with all necessary requirements met (i.e. pictures, recommendations, essays, etc.) or they will not be considered.

On May 5th, 2008, counselors will be available to help students assemble applications during periods 1-7 and until 3:30 p.m.  Seniors may use study halls to meet with counselors in the guidance conference room.  A photocopier will be available so that copies of transcripts and required recommendations may be reproduced.  Students will be responsible for gathering missing information by the May 9th deadline.  Transcripts will be available through the guidance office; students are responsible for gathering ALL required information for each individual scholarship.

Important - If requesting paper applications, please return the “Local Scholarships For Graduating Seniors” list, with your name at the top, and a check mark to the left of each scholarship for which you wish to apply.

Application Deadlines

Even though your scholarship application may show a later application deadline, your application must be returned to the Guidance Office by May 9th, 2008.

Please remove the cover sheet from the Directory Listing so that you can refer back to it as necessary when filling out your applications.

If you have any problems with the scholarships on the website Mrs. Peary in the Computer Lab will be happy to help.

Applications that you fill out on the website must be printed and brought to the  Guidance Office by the May 9th deadline.
