What is CTE?
Career and Technical Education (CTE) on the high school level provides students with the technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in specific occupations and careers. In 2003 Maine enrolled 8,697 students with 33% being young women. CTE trains students in essential workplace skills that are necessary no matter what career they choose.
