M.S.A.D. #1 BOARD OF EDUCATION GOALS
1. Achievement--students in M.S.A.D. #1 will continue to demonstrate achievement commensurate with ability as measured by the Maine Educational Assessment Test.
Students in M.S.A.D. #1 consistently score above the State of Maine average in all testing areas.
2. Attendance--the district will maintain its average daily attendance at 95% of daily membership.
As reported by individual buildings, the district attendance rate for 2004-2005 school year was 96%, again exceeding the 95% goals.
3. Graduation rate--the district will continue to maintain its graduation rate above 96%.
The dropout rate for grades 9 through 12 for the 2004-2005 school year as 1.7% compared to the State average of 3%.
4. Non-college Bound Students--the district will strengthen academic programming and social support systems for students who do not plan to attend post secondary education.
M.S.A.D. #1 has at least one computer with Internet access in every classroom and 1:1 computing for students in grades 7 and 8.
