Zippel Elementary School is one of three elementary schools within MSAD #1. It is part of a productive and vibrant educational community which supports and expects high standards in education. The dedicated staff, comprised of over thirty professional and support positions, is the heart of the school’s educational effort. Parents also play an active and integral role in supporting the education of our students.

Our Mission at Zippel Elementary School is to develop assured, concerned and responsible citizens who are committed to continual learning.

Our Vision is centered around the belief that each and every child be viewed as a vital resource whose education is an indispensable investment for the future of us all.

In conjunction with the MSAD# 1 District Vision Statement, Zippel Elementary School is guided by the following beliefs. We believe that:

• A successful school depends on the cooperation and shared responsibility of all participants: students, staff, parents, and community.
• All individuals deserve to learn in an atmosphere based on mutual respect.
• All students have a right to a healthy and safe learning environment.
• All students must acquire the skills to function in a global society. This is accomplished through providing a firm grounding in critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and technology.
